Make Times

BUIld your own / custom rings

Make times are subject to change based on order volume. The banner at the top of the website will always reflect the current make time - your specific make time will be what was quoted when you ordered!

Please note Custom/Build Your Own rings make times are best estimates! Most rings will be completed during this timeframe but due to the nature of custom rings being one of a kind to fit your stone there is the possibility of delay if a ring doesn’t turn out to meet my quality standards the first time. I want your ring to be a treasured piece that lasts a lifetime so it is important to me (and you) that I never compromise quality to rush. Please do not plan a proposal close to the end of your make time so that we can accommodate a remake if necessary! Thank you so much for your understanding and patience!

ready to ship rings

Ready to Ship rings ship within 2-5 business days of when you place your order. If you are within the U.S. you will also be able to select your shipping speed at checkou! Shipping timeline is in addition to the 2-5 business days it takes to ship your order.

These rings are size specific and as listed. You can have your ring resized locally but we recommend staying within 2-2.5 ring sizes of the size you need in order to maintain the structural integrity of the ring and for the design to flow correctly!

I occasionally take custom orders but only if similar to the pieces I have listed in my shop, please contact me at oorejewelryasst@gmail.com if you have something in mind. If you do order a custom design, I reserve the right to resell the design or something similar in my shop.

I will not copy or make another designer’s work. Please do not send me pictures of another artist and ask me to make something similar.

Wedding bands: So sorry but with current order volume I am unable to accommodate custom wedding band orders. We do our best to provide as accurate order updates as possible but please try to limit your update requests to during the make time window as I am the only one making your rings. I completely understand you're awaiting such a special piece but I need to devote my time to the ring making process and responding to hundreds of order update requests can delay this process!

Ring Size

standard u.s. sizing

I work with Standard U.S. sizing. I work with half and quarter sizes as well! There are a few ways to find your size: go to a local jeweler, order a ring sizer online, measure the inner diameter of a ring finger ring. You are also welcome to put your local (EU, AU, etc.) ring size and I can convert it to U.S. sizing for you!

i need to change my ring size

If you need to change your ring size please send us an email at helpoorejewelry@gmail.com - please also note that ring size changes made after 1 week from when you placed your order will incur a $50 fee. Depending on where your ring is in the creation process changing the ring size might not be possible or might only be possible with a delay in the make time.

Materials

metals / allergies

I work with solid recycled 14k and 18k white, yellow and rose gold, 14k white gold palladium, and platinum! The inside of your band will be stamped with the metal used!

Nickel allergies will need to stay away from white gold! Yellow gold is alloyed with copper, silver and zinc. Rose gold is alloyed with copper and silver. You can still get a nickel friendly "silver" look with either platinum or 14k white gold palladium!

rhodium plating

 

Most of my white gold rings will have rhodium plating. If you do not want your ring rhodium plated please leave a note requesting that, due to the texture of the leaves on some of my rings, some rings look better with the rhodium plating. This plating gives the white gold a brighter/whiter appearance! Depending on things like the PH of your skin and wear and tear on your ring, most rings need to be replated yearly.

 

I need to change the metal i ordered

You are welcome to change the metal on your order within the first week of purchase! Changes made after the first week will incur a $200 metal change fee + any price difference in the metal. Please note that depending on where your ring is in the creation process some metal changes might result in your make time being delayed or restarting. You can change your metal by emailing helpoorejewelry@gmail.com

gemstones

I do not work with customer provided stones - so sorry!

Because I intend for my rings to be able to be worn daily and for a lifetime there are some stones I do not work with because they are not durable enough. Sadly, I do not work with Opal, Pearl, Labradorite, Sunstone, Goldstone, or Tiger's Eye

I also only work with round moss agate as I find other shapes too susceptible to breaking.

We are happy to source a more specific gemstone for you! Depending on the rarity of the stone some might take longer to source than others. There is no fee to source a stone. You are welcome to begin the process by sending an email to oorejeweryasst@gmail.com  

diamonds

I do not work with customer provided stones - so sorry!

I work with both natural and lab created diamonds! If you are looking for something more specific than what you see listed under my Build Your Own - Loose Gemstones section please send an email to oorejeweryasst@gmail.com and we are happy to source a diamond for you!

certification

Larger center stone natural diamonds or lab diamonds over .5ct will come with a certification. Any large natural sapphires can be sent to GIA for certification for $150 per stone. Additionally, the inside of each ring will be stamped with the metal used! I also provide a letter of authenticity stating all items are as listed!

Prices are shown in USD. Shipping will be calculated at checkout.

I happily deliver anywhere worldwide as long as it is somewhere that UPS services and your country allows importing jewelry! You will need to pay duty/tax once your ring ships - I always recommend researching your customs laws as the amount due varies by country! Your shipment will have the full item amount declared on the package.

I recommend anticipating 1-2 weeks for shipping. Please note your delivery can be delayed if you do not pay duty/tax when prompted!

All items ship insured and require a signature for delivery! You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your package ships, which will provide your tracking number so that you can more closely monitor the delivery! Please make arrangements to have someone home to sign for the package as UPS will only attempt delivery a few times before returning your package to me.

Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations

I would like to return/exchange my order

No problem!

I gladly accept returns/exchanges on non custom rings. Returns will have a 10% restocking fee. There is no fee for exchanges.

Conditions of return:

Items need to be shipped back within 7 days of delivery, in the same exact packaging it arrived in. Please insure your item, as I will not cover any damages or loss of package on the way back. I do stick very firm to my return policies timeline. The 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. To begin this process please send an email to helpoorejewelry@gmail.com

I would like to cancel my order

Oore Jewelry reserves the right to charge a 10% transaction fee on all cancelled orders. This fee will be taken from your refund from the original payment method used.

Warranty / Repairs / Care

one year warranty

 

All rings have a 1-year warranty that includes tightening of prongs, retipping of prongs, polishing and cleaning. I do not cover loss of main stone but will cover any replacement of side or accent stones. Warranty is void if ring is worked on by another jeweler - however, you may have your ring resized elsewhere and it will not void my warranty. I do just recommend seeking a highly rated jeweler for resizing. I don't cover loss of ring or extreme damage to ring (but I'll do whatever I can to fix it if it gets crushed)!

I recommend seeking insurance from a third party! Jewelers Mutual is one great option!

engravings

So very sorry but I do not offer engravings! However, you may have an engraving added at a local jeweler and it will not void your one year warranty!

jewelry care

Different stones and metals can require different care, but to keep your ring nice and new there's a few easy steps you can follow:

1. Never wear your ring in hot water, pools, baths or hot tubs. Remove jewelry before applying lotions, soap and makeup so there is no build up on your stones and metal.

2. If buildup occurs, gently wash your ring with organic soap and a soft brush. Use warm water to soak the ring and scrub gently with the soap, it should take off any of the residue. If you can't get it all of after soaking, you can use a jewelry cleaner on most stones, but not all.

3. Soft stones like tourmaline, moonstone, emerald and tanzanite need extra care. Be sure to not hit your ring on things and take if off before doing any activities.

4. I recommend taking all jewelry off (no matter the metal or stone) before doing anything active. Examples are gardening, hiking, working out at the gym (weightlifting). While 14k gold is strong, you can still damage your metal and stones.

5. I recommend washing your ring once every few weeks or more often if you notice build up occurring on your stone.

Appraisals

I do not personally offer appraisals, that is something that will need to be done by an appraiser! I just recommend finding one who does appraisals on more alternative jewelry, as sometimes the ones that generally only do diamond rings will not appraise a colored stone/lab gemstone ring correctly! If you’re looking for an appraisal for insurance purposes, I recommend Jewelers Mutual as they’re super easy and only require an invoice!
